The Greatham Foundation has a long and proud philanthropic history of working with vulnerable individuals across the North East of England. As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting community wellbeing, the charity runs an annual Small Grants Programme that provides funding to local, community-based organisations.

Staff at Primark Hartlepool have demonstrated incredible community spirit, raising over £800 for dementia charities and donating essential items to support people living with memory loss.

One of Hartlepool’s longest-standing charities has officially launched its new name and brand identity, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in its 750-year history. Formerly known as The Hospital of God at Greatham, the organisation will now be known as The Greatham Foundation.

Stichell House residential care home in Greatham, Hartlepool passed a recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection with an overall ‘Good’ rating after being praised for operating a safe and well-led service.

This year the charity is celebrating its 750th anniversary. This is a phenomenal achievement and is testament to the charity’s resilience. With a medieval foundation, the Charity has flourished into a modern organisation.
